Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Anyone can participate.
If you’re new to Teaser Tuesdays, the details are at MizB’s Should Be Reading or on my Teaser Tuesdays Page.
Evanovich began this series a decade ago and, even though I avidly read her Stephanie Plum novels, I was rather put off by the title Metro Girl. When I saw it on the dollar table though, I couldn’t resist picking it up after all. Then it lounged around near the bottom of the TBR list until I happened upon a couple of good reviews for it.
Metro Girl
by Janet Evanovich
“You’re getting better at lying,” Hooker said, when we were belted into the Porsche. “In fact, you were frighteningly convincing.”
So far I am enjoying this book with plenty of chuckles. I doubt I’ll end up liking it as much as I do Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series, but I’ll probably go on to read the next one in this series.
Have you read any books by Janet Evanovich? What are you reading now?
Do you have a TT to share with us? Please leave a comment with your link on MizB’s Teaser Tuesday post or below. If you don’t have a blog, you can share your Teaser here in the comment section instead.
Sounds good!
My teaser this week is from a thriller similar to Dan Brown’s offerings:

I’m up to the early double digits in Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series.

Yes, she does. I like too that they’re rather inept but can laugh at themselves. Thanks for coming by and leaving your link.

I gave up Janet E at around book 18 of her series. It was fun for a long time, but then it started feeling like the same old-same old.

I haven’t read any of the Stephanie Plum books, but have heard good things about them. As for this one, the title would also put me off, but if I saw it on a dollar table, I’d probably check the blurb.
My teaser is from a romantic suspense: http://writenotereviews.com/2014/08/26/teaser-tuesday-under-cover-of-dark-by-juanita-kees/

For your first one, Cleo, I’d recommend the Stephanie Plum series. The first book is One for the Money (1994).

Thanks, Deasy, you too! I read some more last night. So far I don’t like the characters as well as in her Stephanie Plum series, but the laughs are definitely there.
