Like many Irish people I have always been a strong believer in a sixth sense. In fact I had prided myself on mine. I credited it with alerting me to danger more than once during my career as an investigator. So I can’t explain why it let me down on such a critical occasion, when an advance warning might have spared us all such grief. Maybe the perpetrator of this evil had not planned it in advance. Maybe it had been a last-minute order from above, so I had not been able to sense his intention or his presence . . . or their presence. I’m sure there must have been more than one of them. That was how they worked.

From their letters they seemed to be having a roaring good time, while I missed them terribly. I had come to count on their comforting presence across the street, their extravagant parties, and their bohemian lifestyle that Daniel only just tolerated for my sake.

Let’s hope Molly’s thirteenth mystery isn’t unlucky! What are you currently reading? Do you have anything to share with us?
Sounds like a fun mystery — I’d keep reading.

I didn’t try this series when it first came out since it’s set around the turn of the 20th Century. But I liked her Evan Evans series so much that I decided to give this one a try. So glad I did. Fell in love with it!

Oh, I love the sound of this one! I’m for anything Irish, although a long series can be pretty daunting. Thanks for sharing, and here’s mine: “FRICTION”

Some are more “Irish” than others. The first one, Murphy’s Law, tells how Molly came to the U.S. In Dublin’s Fair City, she returns briefly to Ireland. Thanks for leaving your link!

This sounds like a mystery series I’d enjoy. I like “That was how they worked.” It made me curious about who “they” are, and I’d keep reading to find out.
My Tuesday post features a mystery thriller: THE SHADOW CARTEL.

This series hasn’t produced any duds for me. There have been a couple that maybe I didn’t enjoy quite as much as the others, but still liked. All in all, a very high consistency. Thanks for leaving a link to yours! I see my TBR pile growing.

I read Bowen’s Constable Evan Evans series long ago and enjoyed it. Then I got started on this series and have recently begun her Royal Spyness series featuring Georgie.

I love the opening – a really strong sense of the character bounces off the page:). I’m glad you’re enjoying it. This week my TT is all about running away from demons…

I definitely want to read this series by Bowen. Last week I read the first two books in her Royal Spyness Mystery series. I picked up the third book of that series at the library today! My teaser this week is from a mystery series I just discovered by Nancy Atherton. http://abookaddictsview.blogspot.com/2016/04/teaser-tuesday.html

That’s exactly where I am in the Royal Spyness series! Although you’ll get ahead because it’s probably going to be a few weeks before I can fit in Royal Flush. Thanks for leaving your link. I’ve heard of Atherton.

I still haven’t read any of the Mollys. I’m so far behind on so many series! UGH! They do sound lovely, though, and I know that if you enjoy them then I’m likely to, as well 🙂

I know what you mean about being behind. Up to a couple of years ago I followed just about the number of series that I could keep up with – now, with the discovery of all these new to me series, it’s a lost cause. But fun anyway, lol.

Thanks. I just finished this one last night. It was good, not one of the best in the series, but lots of fun and the setting of Paris gave it some oomph. 😉
