When something is bothering me, I seek refuge. No need to travel far; a trip to the realm of literary memory will suffice. For where can one find more noble distraction, more entertaining company, more delightful enchantment than in literature.
The Elegance of the Hedgehog (L’elegance du herisson) by Muriel Barbery
Oh I do so love that book – maybe I could reread in honor of the French tragedy.

I haven’t finished it yet, about halfway and enjoying trying to figure out the book quotes before we’re told which book.

Thanks, Kim. I don’t post many quotes, but this one was too good to pass up.

I recall adding this book to my wish list a few years ago, early on in my blogging…and have not yet read it. I guess I should! Great quote.

I’m not sure how much I’ll like this book. Parts are very interesting, most of it so far, but it’s not a compelling read. The literary references grab me.
