Yay! Thanks for joining in – great list too. I think I have The Night Circus in the 746 so I look forward to hearing what you think about that one.

I’ve had so many great recommendations for it. See Maran’s comment right below yours. 🙂

So glad to see The Night Circus made your list! I hope you love it as much as I did! 🙂 Happy reading!

It has been on my very short “next” pile for months, but it kept getting bumped – although mainly by group reads or library books. Finally!

Good luck! I really enjoyed the Night Circus.

I might have to join in!
I’ve read the Connelly book and I really enjoyed it. I hope you will too!

I hope you do join! I love all the Bosch books I’ve read. I got a late start, so am working my way through them.

Good luck with your list! I think I will join in the challenge. I’ve been working to get my physical TBR down and this will definitely help.

Great Elizabeth! I’m not doing mine like Cathy’s and making it all physical books in my TBR. Some are etexts and a couple are library books. Most though are books I have now sitting in two piles on top of bookcase.

I think I’m in! Should be fun – enjoy your list!

Oh I’ll definitely be looking more closely at this tonight at work! Right now all I want to do is sleep but I’m hoping to dream up at least part of a list while I do. I may even add the next Royal Spyness to it since I seem to have abandoned the series after that first one! Hmmm. Maybe it’ll be my summer of abandoned series…

I like that – Summer of Abandoned Series, lol.

And …. DONE! Now just help me stick to it, okay?

Ohhh, The River of Doubt. I want to read that one at some point, too. I hope you enjoy all of your picks, and good luck with your challenge.

Thanks, good luck to you too!
I’ve had The River of Doubt for a while and it kept getting bumped by group reads. Finally I’ll get to it this summer. I read TR’s own account of the trip a few years ago. It’s free at Project Gutenberg for anyone interested. http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/11746

What a fantastic list and you were braver than me by posting all your twenty books in one go! I’m just hoping the reviews aren’t all so good that I add everyone else’s choices to my TBR or I will be in real trouble!

I thought it would be really hard to make the list, but by the time I added the scheduled group reads and various reads for other Challenges, I was only about five short!
I hear that about everyone else’s choices. Our TBR lists will rival Cathy’s beginning 746, lol.

Thanks, Selah! It’s been months since you set me straight about Georgie. I got the first two books almost immediately, but they kept getting pushed back by group reads, etc. Finally!

Congratulations and good luck! The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and The Kreutzer Sonata by Leo TolstoiI are great!
I know I’ll read 20 (more likely closer to 50) but which 20? I was able to come up with a list of 15 and after that it’s all about what catches my eye – I tend to go for new release crime novels and whatever my reading groups choose, perhaps some associated books. I’ve got a couple of challenges I could work on.

Thanks, Becky.
It will be announced later today or maybe tomorrow that The Kreutzer Sonata is a group read for two weeks at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/19thCenturyLit beginning June 14.

Omg! I just reactivated my delivery – is the reason I’m not getting many classics read because I’m not active in any classics groups? (lol)

I just did announce three Russian works – if you missed it, you can see it on the Home Page or in the Discussion Schedule in the files. A sneak peak for you: the next two will be The Magician by Somerset Maugham and The Morgesons by Elizabeth Stoddard.

I should have mentioned, some of the participants in the full 20 are only listing the first ten and will list the last 10 later when they know more about what’s coming up in various reading groups.

Okay – so I set up a page for the Summer Challenge on my site – the page is at: https://beckylindroos.wordpress.com/yearly-challenges/summer-2015-challenge/
I have 16 books listed but I do have some reading groups which will be announcing shortly – I don’t read them more than 2 weeks ahead of time though so …

Super, I’ll go take a look. Yes, I don’t like to read the books early either. In fact, I’m usually behind on the weekly schedules, lol.

That’s a very diverse list!
I’ve joined in from Sydney, so my list is 20 winter reads 🙂

There’s at least one other reader from Australia playing, Kate. Maybe others. I’m meeting so many new readers and I don’t know where they all live yet.
I realized later that I didn’t have any poetry on it. Other than that, I’m quite pleased since there should be something no matter what I’m in the mood for.

Sounds great! Looks like a really impressive list. The only one I’ve read of those is “The Kreutzer Sonata,” and that was quite some time ago. I’ll have to give this a go.

Great! When you get organized, go to Cathy’s blog and post so she can add you to the master list.

Oh my, you sure are feeling adventurous, huh?
I am ashamed to say that although I recognize some authors I am pretty sure I have not heard of any of the works themselves…
Good luck!

I have a mix of old and newish, fiction and non-fiction. Hopefully, one of them will work no matter what my mood.

Yep!
I think I have a mixture of my favourite genres: fantasy, horror and sci-fi, with a bit of contemporary mystery in the mix to spice things up.
