Dead Until Dark
by Charlaine Harris
I’d been waiting for the vampire for years when he walked into the bar.
Ever since vampires came out of the coffin (as they laughingly put it) two years ago, I’d hoped one would come to Bon Temps.
Dead Until Dark is the first in Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse series. The only thing I previously knew about this series was that it was the basis for the television series True Blood. Hannah’s September 2 TT at The Book Pub about Dead in the Family (Sookie Stackhouse #10) prompted me to read the first book.
What are you reading now? Do you have a TT to share with us?
Please leave a comment with your link on MizB’s Teaser Tuesday post or below. If you don’t have a blog, you can share your Teaser here in the comment section instead.
I still need to read the last two books in this series. Enjoy the journey! Mine: Books Can Be Deceiving

I’ve never read her books but she’s my mom’s favorite author, good choice!

Thanks, Sean. Vampires wouldn’t be a normal choice for me these days, but I liked an earlier series by Harris, Aurora Teagarden, so decided to give it a try.
Thanks for coming by. Christopher Moore’s book sounds good. I enjoy humor in most forms.

I loved this series. I’ve read all but the last book. It sits and stares at me but I’m not ready for it to end yet!
The show was a shocking surprise. I liked the first few seasons but then seemed to drift away from it.

Oh how I love Sookie! I read them all and wish there were more. I was disappointed with True Blood though. I didn’t feel like it followed the books closely enough. Hope you enjoy the Sookie books as much as I did! My TT is here.

Awww, Sookie! I remember when she was that naïve and innocent and vulnerable! The first one was such a great book, and I love how snappy and snarky she was. Thanks for sharing!!

Ha, ha, Sandra. I like yours this week, that character couldn’t have been much more shocked by a vampire than a football-loving little town, lol. Thanks for coming by and leaving it.

So far, so good, Eustacia. I like the main vampire, he’s one of those reluctant ones. But the others–I hope they are just passing through. Thanks for coming by.
