Teaser Tuesdays – May 13, 2014

TeaserTuesdays

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other Teaser Tuesdays participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Again my Teaser is from a series book. The Montmartre Investigation by Claude Izner (translated by Lorenza Garcia and Isabel Reid) is the third book in the Victor Legris mystery series. Claude Izner is the pseudonym of two sisters, Liliane Korb and Laurence Lefèvre, of France.

‘Joseph, when will you get over your morbid interest in murders?’ groaned Victor.

‘But, Boss, it’s astonishing, because yesterday this strange fellow came in here . . .’

Victor Legris mystery series by Claude Izner:
Murder On the Eiffel Tower
The Pere-Lachaise Mystery (The Disappearance at Pere-Lachaise)
The Montmartre Investigation
The Marais Assassin (The Assassin in the Marais)
The Predator of Batignolles (In the Shadows of Paris)
Le Talisman de la Villette (Strangled in Paris)

Do you have a ‘teaser’ to share with us?

    • The strange fellow is a combination of goat milk supplier and local scrounger. He’s the one who peaked their curiosity and set them off on the investigation.

I really like the title of your blog, Turning the Pages.
